Sheep!

A play about sheep.

Not about humans. Not about people. Not about you.

Sheep! is a monologue that explores belonging and flocks, and how we are cut out of the connection by destruction. It gathers around nuances of otherness, wondering if sheep asked to have their children eaten by making such cute and delicious lambs. And while it wanders through green fields with the fluffy, white creatures that are a part of, it gently approaches a question I hold close:

how do you belong when you are so afraid that you can´t look anyone in their eyes anymore?


Sheep! Is in development – Work-in-progress show 25.5.2023 at Mick Lally Theatre. Short extract as part of Culture Night 2023 with Galway Theatre Festival. Rehearsed reading at The Cockpit in London on 6th of October, 2024. Developed at Scene+Heard, Festival of new work 2025. Work in progress showings for development in 2025 at Newport Live Act Fringe Wales – Town Hall Theatre Galway – Áras Éanna, Inis Oírr.
